Wausau Marathon

In 2023, the Shannon Marie and Louis Porter Smith (SMLPS) Foundation purchased the Wausau Marathon, an event that takes place annually on the third weekend of August, coinciding with the anniversary of Shannon and Louis’s passing. The event has had a notable impact, donating $8,700 to local organizations in 2023 and $6,000 in 2024, furthering the foundation's commitment to supporting the Wausau community.
